Baby Boy!! no, it's not ours :)
it's a little after 3am on wednesday morning. corey is snuggled deep under the covers, snoring away. i couldn't get back to sleep just yet, so here i am...blogging in for you all. i just got back from a birth. i had the priveledge & honor to take part in welcoming another life into this world. a beautiful, healthy, 7 1/2 pound baby boy!! natural childbirth is so amazing. to be able to deliver your baby, in the comforts and relaxing atmosphere of your own home is so special. there is this overwhelming sense of calm that is felt.
lori and i left honolulu at 10pm, got to kaaawa (out in the country of oahu) at 10:45pm, and baby was out by 11:58pm. our dear mother delivered in their king sized tub...candles lit all around us. it was me, lori, mom, dad, and two friends. a perfect childbirth team! everyone was so helpful in making it all happen.
truly a miracle! sometimes that i can't believe this is my job. i am so very grateful each day of all that is before me. the gift of life must never be taken for granted.
