japanese anime with some johnny cash on the side
over the past year i've really been able to dig my hands into some cool japanese anime. (another category the japanese kick our ass in..is cartoons & story telling.) I've seen some mind blowing art lately. much more artistic then the traditional art being made here in the states. lately, i've been hooked on a running TV series out of japan called "naruto". we get it here at work once they guys in japan load it up on the server. BAM! seconds later it's here and we're dialed in. i think we're on episode 115 at the moment. ye calls me a junkie, but i think the art is creative and ground breaking consistent.
my defense is weak by saying lots of the guys/ gals here are into all kinds of characters and creations of gaming culture. i think one of the guys i work with has 70 action figures on his desk. a unique sight to see mind you. smart guy and has a flare for game design like no other. funny thing is there are multiple folks here just like him.
of course i haven't converted entirely since i do not own an x-box as of yet. most of the people at work play online. such games as halo2, WOW, DOOM 3 and half-life to name a few. maybe ye will give in this year. i've been selling the idea that they have a karaoke system we can set up. she can then download any song she wants. which in retrospective might be a tad bit painful for me (and those in the room) if you've ever heard me sing!
for some reason i have had a hankering to sing johnny cash?
didn't dolly parton and johnny cash do a few tunes together?
ye could wear a blonde wigg....and i can get my hands on some elvis looking sunglasses with sideburns attached. the possibilities are endless.
