the simple things...
aloha dear friends and family,
i just wanted to submit an entry before i went to bed. we are preparing for corey's marathon tomorrow...his first official honolulu marathon. lots of little things to do to get him all prep'ed and ready to go. the number one priority being to cut his hair, because it flies in the wind and makes him itchy. i thought that was pretty funny. he hates running with bush-y hair, mind you. that's my soul mate. :)
it's been almost two months since i've been back from india. it's amazing how you see life a little bit differently after you've spent some time at the home of the dalai lama. the things that seemed to matter don't really matter so much.
the holidays are coming up like a whirlwind. trying not to get caught up in the busy-ness of going to the malls and give into consumerism. we've decided that we will be creative and organic in our gifts this christmas. this is the time to be thankful for our loved ones, the simple things in life, like our health, spontaneous bouts of laughter, giggling so hard that your cheeks hurt and pee-ing your pants, giving to give, babies, the wise at heart, waterfalls, wild ginger flowers, panda bears, bamboo trees, hearing from long lost old friends, surfing waves, swimming with the dolphins, turtles, whales, monk seals, little tropical fish, and your ocassional shark :) , clean air, down comforters, lazy sundays, rainbows, chocolate, meeting a new friend, loving compassion, unconditional love, o'hana....
may we always be thankful for the simple things in life...the things that really matter.

Hey Ye!
Its been a while since we talked. I need to call you and catch up on things. I decided to stop by and visit you and coreys blog. So do you guys have any plans for the holidays? I'll be spending the holidays in Montreal with my boyfriend and his family who lives in Montreal. I have so much to tell you about whats going on in my life. Hi ya, Ye!
Glad you had a enlightening experience in India. I had a similar one in Denmark this September, it was the first trip abroad that I've taken alone. It was an amazing experience.
I'm with ya on taking delight in the simple things: friends, family, health, etc. These are the things that hold us together when life throws us the curve balls.

Ye- I miss ya. Having one of those days today and was thinking of taking a long walk and eating sherbert. Is that healthy?? Anyway, life is good for us here. I look around everyday when I wake up and am so glad to be alive, so in love with Mike, and thrilled to have my girls. What could be better?
