been busy
geez, seems like we've been so busy latley. to much work & to much stress. @ times it feels like my only quiet space is out in the waves. thankfully there has been plenty of swell the last week to allow me to get out & away from the business of the day to day "to do's". even with a draggin head cold i still need to paddle out. amazing how a good pounding in the waves or a nice glassy wall can make you feel like life is still.
anyhow, great little party this weekend over at val's house. lots of surfers that you normally see in the water on a day to day basis were over to wish a friend a happy b-day. (good food, friendly people, surf flicks, booze and sweet deserts)
then this morning we all met up again out in the waves. the sunrise was epic this morning as well. a few turtles stopped by to bob around as long glassy waves peeled through the the lineup.

hey corey - glsd you guys had fun the other night! the people make the party :-) and that was a gorgeous sunrise this morning....i saw the turtles too. got a jellyfish sting on my left forearm and it's still sweating a bit. weird feeling - never got stung before. don't remember box jellies being here when i was a kid.
the daily grind is definitely suspended while we're playing in the waves!

want to say thanks again for the b-day gifts from y'all...watched morning of the sun - what a kick! you can see where all the retro 70s stuff came from. the hair! the short shorts! the flutes, beanies and bongs crack me up. all back in style. too funny ;-) some great surfing in sections 6 & 9. let me know if you wanna "borrow" it.
