the king has swung by to say hello
king kamehameha day is tomorrow. he ruled the hawaiian islands for more than a century. legend has it that he was born at the time of the appearance of halley's comet & that this was a sign that he would rise to greatness. in honor of that we have a rock'n swell that has started to hit as of last night. it looks to be peaking as of friday & saturday. which just so happens to be the kings holiday celebrated by the islands.

(the south pacific is ALIVE this week end)
this mornings session was a bit choppy due to wind. thinking about heading out for a double session though & getting in another couple hours while the sunsets.
in the morning it looks like ye & i are heading out for another session & then meeting up with a group of friends to teach them how to surf down in waikiki. should be a fun time to spread some aloha & just have a ol'fashion damn good time at the beach. later in the day we are off to makaha for a camping trip on the west side of the island.
damn i'm stoked...
aloha ~
