be still & know
yes, we've been slacking on our blog. we've just been living life to its fullest. life is so amazing, so full of lessons. we do so much day to day, it's so easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of it all. but if i just take a step back and stop, take a few deep breaths, be still....that's when i am truly able to "know".
there's this buddhist quote, that i came upon when i was visiting thich nhat hahn's retreat out in vermont on summer..."be still & know". it is so profound on so many levels.
so yes, we've been running around...doing yoga, surfing the big and not so big waves, hiking, throwing moustache & shiny parties, entertaining old friends, swimming with the dolphins, hanging out on sacred land, swimming under waterfalls, picking fragrant wild flowers, "packing" on the moped, watching the sunset, going to slack key guitar shows, dancing the night away, assisting people's healing process, throwing potluck/barbeque's, going to the art museum, laughing and playing with friends....doing all this with so much "love & gratitude".
our pictures are soon to come. i still have to learn how to post them. i'll get corey to teach me one of these days. i also want to show you some film clips. i've been playing with the video camera alot these days.
oh and another thing...i just got elected the president of the "hawaii society of naturopathic physicians". i'm extremely honored to be able to represent all the naturopathic physicians of the state of hawaii. as of january, i start my presidency. i am pretty excited about this position. the ultimate goal is to educated hawaii about naturopathic medicine and make it more accessible to everyone.
take good care of yourselves. nurture your soul!!! live life to its fullest, with passion and conviction. don't take life too seriously. laugh full heartedly. walk through life with loving compassion and gratitude. i love you all!
thanks for stopping by...feel free to add a few words of wisdom in the comments section.
