sand bagged surf report

got some geeks in town this week for a game workshop. so we kicked it tourist style last night in waikiki. twaz drinking some mai tai's on the beach while watching some chest high glassy rollers come through the sunsets rays. the surf last night at queens looked super fun. even had some smaller little barrels going left.

so this morning we got up cracko dawn. headed out for a session @ cliffs. suppose to be waist high according to the surf report. anyhow...it looked a bit wonkie out with outside sets coming in couple feet overhead. wild & warbly drops with the waves breaking in multiple sections. outside sets were mackers @ about 8ft+ faces with shifty directionly flow. no channel to speak of with lots of close out sets mowing people on the inside. got my fair share of poundings today as well as getting caught on the inside & taking some on the head. ended up catching one super fun late drop overhead left. pig dogged the rails & dropped the shoulder into the wall. felt good to finally get some decent do or don't practice.

soul sista was charging some over head munchers as well. then she spent most of the session trapped on the inside with white wash bombs going off all around her.

i bet threes, paradise, pops, kewa's, canoes & queens are cranking today. thinking about a sunset session tonight & a dawn patrol over at three's in the morning.

damn i love this stuff.

board report: the new stick is bad ass. spooky fast for a long board.
