check it out....
not sure who is interested in japanese animation? needless to say one of the new things we've been watching at the studio is "afro samurai" http://www.afrosamurai.com/.
pretty good stuff brought over from japan to the western market. they hired samual jackson, wu tang clan and many others to do the voices, music/ scores etc. its a nice piece of work.
this is helping mark a huge influx of mainstream actors trying to do more cutting edge multimedia animations. ie: stuff like scanner darkly is a good example. the conversion of comics into movies are going to revert for a new twist on an old idea. one that america once invented (marvel comic days) and then sucked at while the japanese picked it up and brought it to levels we see in the industry as of now.
