happy sunday to you all! just spending some time with my little mac laptop at a coffee shop and chatting with single fin across the ocean.
i started the day on my yoga mat. there's something about starting your day flowing with your breath, sweating out all your junk from the day before and with a deep sense of peace. i decided to drive the long way around the island. we're shipping our little jetta to meet up with single fin next week. so i figured i'd give her one good drive around the island before she hits the mainland. the oceans waters were crystal clear tourqoise color. so very peaceful and inviting.
hanging out in the local coffee shop to take care of business. lots of creative ideas are brewing as we speak. then off to jump into the surf and practice my short boarding skills.
my latest is that i'm trying to learn how to duck dive. i'm not quite getting it yet. but i am easily amusing myself when i try. everytime a wave comes over me, i try to push the board down, but apparently since my butt is still in the air, i end up flashing everyone, as the wave takes my bottom. i can't stop laughing. so single fin's been coaching me about proper form and all that stuff.
single fin's braving the cold waters and tells me that once he gets numb he's alright. he's such a dedicated hardcore soul surfer. slaving away at the mother ship, taking on everything...and moving out of his element.
yes, we are so very blessed to be here, to have the best of both worlds. the beauty of this place is that it will always feel like home. and in the end, home is deep inside of us, no matter where we are.
